This Act creates the Firearm Transaction Approval Program (FTAP) within the State Bureau of Identification (SBI) of the Delaware State Police and designates the SBI's FTAP as the point of contact between an FFL and the federal databases checked by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for purposes of conducting background checks for firearm purchases or transfers.

Vote NO to SB 6
Assigned to FULL Senate for consideration | Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 2:00 pm
SB 6 MAGAZINE CAPACITY IS BACK! We last saw this last year and it was already voted out of committee; it just never went to the Senate floor for a vote. It is now going to the full Senate for consideration.
As defined by House Amendment 2 to SB 6: A large capacity magazine is any magazine that exceeds 20 rounds of ammunition for a handgun and 30 rounds for a long gun.
Rumor has it that legislators intend to do away with the amendments and bring this bill back to its full glory. 😤
We are absolutely OPPOSED to this legislation.
** SB 6 has been gutted with three amendments, one of which is mentioned above. During a virtual meeting the evening on June 2, 2022 between the Attorney General, US Senator Chris Coons, and Representatives and Senators from the Democratic caucus, they spoke about removing the amendments. We are opposed to this legislation, and OPPOSED to removing the amendments.

We are absolutely OPPOSED to this legislation.
Two Bills Still to Be Named
There are two more bills in the package that have not been assigned bill numbers yet. They deal with the following issues:
Holding gun manufacturers and dealers liable for reckless or negligent actions that lead to gun violence (not yet introduced)
Banning the uses of devices that convert handguns into fully automatic weapons (not yet introduced)
