Our Mission
We are a non-partisan movement of women across Delaware providing training, education, resources, and advocacy for a woman's ability to defend herself so that she may live with less fear and more freedom.
Don’t take away my ability to defend myself.
We are sisters. We are mothers. We are daughters. Some of us have survived rape, abuse, or other violent attacks. We are often smaller and weaker than our attackers. We stand on behalf of women. We stand of behalf of children. We stand for all who are disadvantaged. We believe that each of us should have the ability to choose how we will defend ourselves and those we love.

WDC Rally- April 11, 2021
The Women’s Defense Coalition began as a small Facebook presence at the end of January 2021. State legislators had begun pushing legislation that threatened our ability to protect ourselves, so we realized we needed to push back. Women came together to do just that in New Castle one Sunday afternoon—and that most definitely made our opponents sit up and take notice.
